The Oakland First Fridays street festival ends at 9:00pm. Please help us ensure a peaceful shutdown by clearing the streets in and around the event. There’s plenty to do on a First Friday in Oakland. Here are a few suggestions:

Dalia Malek hosts The Interruption Show at the All Out Comedy Theater at Telegraph and 25th at 9pm, tickets are only five dollars!

The Killer Queens, an all-woman Madonna and Queen tribute band, play the New Parish (18th and San Pablo) at 9pm, 18 and over.

Love Jones , a 1997 romance starring Larenz Tate and Nia Long plays at the New Parkway Theatre right over on 24th at 9:15, and the romantic thriller Border plays at 10:10.

Bohemian Rhapsody, the bio of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, plays at Oakland’s amazing Grand Lake Theatre at 10:10.

Creed II, the sequel to (you guessed it) Creed, plays at Bay Street Emeryville at 10:20.
