This Friday: #WeAreOakland!
For August, Oakland First Fridays celebrates OAKLAND. Our town, our culture, our history, our community. We are a place where people come together, laugh together and stand together to show America how it's done.
Come on down for music, art, performance, food, our all-new Kid Zone and a celebration of our amazing community. Free and fun for the whole family.

THE FELL SWOOP
The Fell Swoop shapes their unique blend of retro soul funk to deliver a modern message. The SF based big-band draws inspiration from the city, the coast and the undying pulse of a sweaty, live audience! They can often be found on the Streets of San Francisco, with battery amps and a suitcase drum kit, creating dance parties on the spot. They’ve played 2018's SXSW festival in Austin TX and San Francisco PRIDE 2019 as well as a host of other shows around the state.
Bay Area native Aaron Tabor is a guitarist and vocalist who, with songs like Summer”, “Body”, “Love Triangle” and “Never To Young” he gives you the raw side of him through descriptive storytelling and expressive vocals. He released his debut CD “Jameson” under the name Bayboogy in 2017.
Oakland’s Favorite Pop-Up Art Bar is back on Sycamore! Cheat Day will spin tunes for dancing and socializing. They'll feature new and emerging music curated by members Joogmac, Dasboots, Salty Sherilyn, Jon Reyes, Lil Thow Wow and Druskee. Cheat Day aims to fill a gap that most nights and clubs miss with a well-rounded experience and high caliber DJ'ing.
