Cassandra Rose Casares
Social Commentary

Landscape of agriculture fields. Night sky in acrylic paint and fields in gold leaf with clay used for the rows. "I wanted to capture where my roots are from. Ancestors and gente today who are picking our daily goods from the fields. Black and Brown bodies everyday pick our beautiful grocery story foods and I wanted to show the beautiful land we come from. Our roots are embedded in America’s soul. Our economic system was built on agricultural labor. Afro/Chicano history lies within agriculture and WAY before agribusiness became a multi-billion dollar industry." Direct message Cassandra on Instagram to purchase: @casares.official
